Who Will Be The Next Great Artist?
We will be interviewing artists from all over the world and presenting their works for review and discussion. Our focus will be to present talent that deserves careful examination and consideration by serious collectors of art. Such artists may be on the brink of discovery by learned patrons and critics of the art community, or have perhaps not yet been seen by the mainstream. Our focus is on locating and revealing artists who, by virtue of thier incredible talent, are destined to become recognized as important contributors to the expressions of our culture. It is important to note that our observations will be made independent of the latest fads or trends that may otherwise influence the perspectives of those with the honest desire to promote, manage, or acquire art.
The question, "what is art" is a broad question but one we take seriously. We intend to put forth the reasoning that art should not be a word that pertains to something simply because some group or person calls it such. If this is not true, then allow us to offer the term "important art" in the hope that it will stand unmoved in the wake of any confusing argument about what should be considered worthy of attention and serve to illuminate the works of those with the talent to represent the expressions of our culture. To be succinct, our function will be to uncover and showcase art that contains the four elements: talent, sincerity, commitment, and hard work. There should be no mystery pertaining to what art is really about. While we may need experts and critics to help point out the components that make up these elements, we should be able to determine on our own if such elements are present in the works we see. Each element is equally important, and when an artist exceeds the norm in all 4 elements it is left to the world to ascertain the level of talent, commitment, sincerity, and hard work contained in the art. Please feel free to join in our efforts, we value all opinions and will gladly consider all points put forth rationally.
